In one year, our young authors—in collaboration with MOI staff, a fabulous local guest author, volunteers, and our beloved partner teachers,—create a book!
Porthole into Programming: Our YABP students have voted on the title and cover of our upcoming book anthology. MOI is excited to announce that the winning title is Indigenous Originated: Walking in Two Worlds.

When asked what the world needs to know about the Writers’ Room at South High School, Ollie, a senior, responded, “the Writers’ Room is ballin,’” and the other students in the room agreed. The Writers’ Room is not only a place where students at South High can get help with their writing assignments and college entrance essays, it's also a place where students can go to work on their own creative projects, relieve stress, and make friends.Read More
